Months after a woman was accused of shooting an AR-style rifle at Rihanna's Beverly Hills mansion, her partner A$AP Rocky is opening up about how the incident affected their family.
In a cover story interview with VIBE on Tuesday, June 2, the "Praise the Lord" rapper, 37, said the ordeal was "f---ed up" and shook his sense of normalcy.
"Somebody attempted at [harming] me and my family," Rocky told the outlet.
"It took away a lot of peace and happiness of being able to just be free," he continued. “I don't want to be robbed of my peace and joy."
On March 25, the woman accused of shooting the rifle pleaded not guilty to several charges, including attempted murder, during a hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The woman, named Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, was charged with one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.
Ortiz is being held on $1.875 million bail and could face life in prison. Per the Associated Press, her lawyer asked that her bail be reduced based on her ability to pay, but the judge declined her request.
On March 8, Ortiz allegedly arrived at the estate — which is shared by Rihanna, Rocky and their three children — while they were home and opened fire with a semiautomatic rifle, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Sources previously told PEOPLE that nobody was hurt in the incident, but Rihanna was left deeply shaken.
"Even with a great security team in place, it's scary to realize that something like this can still happen," the source said at the time. "Rihanna heard the shots, but was initially confused about what happened. She doesn't understand why someone would target her family."

Ortiz's alleged motive for the shooting remains unclear. However, the licensed speech pathologist previously made cryptic posts on Facebook seemingly referencing the singer, including one from two weeks prior that read, "Say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me."
Last month, Ortiz's attorney "expressed a doubt" that she could stand trial due to mental health issues, according to the Los Angeles Times and ABC7. However, a judge ruled that there was not substantial evidence of her mental "incompetence" and ordered criminal proceedings to continue, the outlet reported.
