Singer-songwriter and The Voice star Sasha Allen is spilling tea about his relationship with RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorite, Adore Delano.

“When I Forgive You” singer and TikTok star Sasha Allen rose to fame back in 2021 after becoming one of the first transgender competitors on singing contest The Voice.

While his music career has blossomed since, last year he found a wave of new fans after revealing that he is in a relationship with two-time Drag Race star, Adore Delano.

The sweet duo revealed their romance on Delano’s Instagram account back in December, with the drag icon and fellow musician writing: “You teach me things with just a look in your eyeballs – you’re mine – i’m yours – let’s take over the world – I love you.”

In a new interview with Into, Allen spoke about his love for Delano and how she has pushed him to “keep going”.

“She’s the love of my life,” he told the publication.

“Like, she is such a beautiful human being and someone that understands me so much…. I’ve never met someone that I have so much in common with, like, down to a soul level.”

Allen took a moment to address the age gap between the two, which has received some comments from both of their fandoms.

Allen is 23, and will turn 24 next month, while Delano is 35, turning 36 in September.

“There’s been people who say, whatever, we have an age gap, whatever, who cares,” he said.

“In spite of that, I feel like being so public with her and our love for each other, it’s been really beautiful and gratifying for me, because I love her so much that I want to share it, and I want people to know and I want to celebrate that, because she’s been so influential in my life and even my love for myself.

“She’s pushed me: She was the one that pushed me to get out of the contract that I was in that was holding me back, and pushed me to record my music, and pushed me to promote my music, and pushed me to keep going, like, since our first date ever.”

Adore Delano rose to fame herself via a singing contest, appearing as a contestant on American Idol in 2007. In 2014, she made it all the way to the final of Drag Race season six, becoming an instant fan favourite in the process.

The “I Adore U” singer came out as a trans woman in July 2023, revealing that getting sober allowed her to “deal with [her] feelings”.

As a result, she said, she went “from dysphoria to euphoria”.
