While participating in BravoCon 2025’s “Ask Andy” panel on Friday, November 14, Andy was asked about the rumors surrounding one of Bravo’s biggest hit shows.
“New York to come,” he told the crowd in Las Vegas. “We’re close.”
When moderator Jeff Lewis asked whether the rumors are true that season 16 will feature a “hybrid” of stars from the original show and the rebooted version, Andy quickly said, “Not true.”
Earlier this week, fan sites including @BravoandCocktails reported that Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley and Carole Radziwill would be joining newer cast members Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva and Erin Lichy for a new season. Two other newbies would also be announced.
Bravo has yet to comment on the casting rumors or officially announce plans for season 16.
During the “Ask Andy” panel, one fan expressed their disappointment at recent seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City. Andy quickly defended the cast and asked viewers to have a little gratitude for all the memorable moments the show has provided ever since it premiered in 2008.
“The original New York had 13 incredible seasons. Half of them have moved to Florida,” he said. “We’ll always be in business with these guys. We always want to work with them. You know what? 13 years of a great series is — be happy that it happened.”
While walking the red carpet at BravoCon in Las Vegas, Andy reiterated to Us that fans should “stand by” for news on The Real Housewives of New York City.
When asked if he wanted to squash the beef with any Bravolebrities, the host of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen said he was thankful to have already reconciled with Carole.
“Carole and I squashed our beef, so I’m good,” he said in Las Vegas. “We’ve known each other for years.”
Although Carole is staying mum on the casting rumors, she did appear on iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in Pod” podcast from Las Vegas and shared her plans for the trip.
“I’m going to Luann the Countess’ Cabaret show,” she told Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp before sharing her favorite part of the entire weekend. “I want to witness the whole spectacle of it.”
Fans of RHONY have been patiently waiting for any updates on the show ever since season 15 finished airing in February.
Cameras rolled as Racquel Chevremont, Rebecca Minkoff, Ubah Hassan, Brynn Whitfield, Jenna Lyons, Jessel, Erin and Sai showcased their lives, friendships and fallouts.
Since the show wrapped, both Rebecca and Brynn announced they would not be returning to the show for season 16.
As for other cast members, they are waiting for developments just like viewers at home.
“We have no news,” Sai exclusively shared with Us while attending the American Ballet Theatre 2025 Fall Gala in October. “But there will be a show, for sure. I would love to come back. I mean, being a part of Real Housewives of New York is just such a pivotal moment in my life to be even asked to do it, so it’s iconic and I’m a New Yorker, so I would love to represent.”
