Beyoncé and Madonna Score #1 Hit on iTunes With Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)

Congratulations are in order to Beyoncé and Madonna, who have scored a #1 hit with the Queens Remix to Break My Soul.

A refreshing take on the 32-year-old pop song, the Queens Remix features an interpolation of Madonna's Vogue, and includes king Bey shouting out all the legendary black female musicians in the industry.

The song is gaining traction worldwide, but shooting straight to #1 in the US has garnered Madonna her first #1 song on iTunes in nearly a decade.

Beyoncé has been trying her hardest to get Break My Soul to go to #1, and she knew by getting Madonna on board that it would finally happen. It also benefits Madonna, especially since all know how sexist the industry is towards female musicians once they pass the age of 40.

Beyoncé is in that eye line at the moment, but her marketing strategy has continued to defy how the industry treats and promotes women of her status.

An icon and an icon in the making joining forces on one track was genius marketing. Now all we need from these two is a video a la Britney and Madonna with Me Against the Music
