Beyoncé Claps Back At Right Said Fred Over Accusations She Sampled Their Song Without Permission

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles had time today, because less than 24 hours after 90s one hit wonders Right Said Fred tried to pull a Kelis by accusing the pop legend of sampling their biggest hit I'm Too Sexy without their permission, Mrs. Carter took to social media to refute their claims.

“The comments made by Right Said Fred stating that Beyoncé used ‘I’m Too Sexy’ in ‘Alien Superstar’ without permission are erroneous and incredibly disparaging,” a rep for Beyonce said in a statement. “Permission was not only granted for its use, but they publicly spoke of their gratitude for being on the album. For their song, there was no sound recording use, only the composition was utilized.”

“Permission was asked of their publisher on May 11, 2022 and the publisher approved the use on June 15, 2022,” the statement continued. “They were paid for the usage in August, 2022. Furthermore, the copyright percentage of the Right Said Fred writers with respect to the use of ‘I’m Too Sexy’ is a substantial portion of the composition. Collectively the Right Said Fred writers own more than any other singular writer and have co-writer credit. This accusation is false.”

In my opinion, they were upset because she did not contact them personally, which was the same bitch that Kelis had. However, Beyoncé is going to have her team go to through the proper legal channels to clear the samples she needs to create her songs.

I'm not contacting the singer personally if I don't need to go through them personally to clear a song.

They tried it by going on British TV with their shady comments, but seemed to forget that the internet is an existing thing that will not only expose your interview, but will also expose you praising Bey for sampling your song.
