Beyoncé’s Dad Mathew Knowles Has ‘Never Heard’ Billionaire Daughter ‘Ever Talk About Money’

Mathew Knowles recently stated that his daughter, billionaire Beyoncé, has "never talked about money" and isn't motivated by it, saying her focus is always on her fans and her craft, with wealth coming as a byproduct of her success, a sentiment he's expressed before, even claiming she became a billionaire years before Forbes' 2025 official announcement. He noted that she prioritizes making fans happy and being the best at what she does, rather than financial gain, a quality he admires.

The “Upgrade U” singer ended 2025 on Forbes magazine’s famed rich list, but her father, Mathew Knowles, says, “she’s not motivated money.”

“I’ve never heard Beyoncé ever talk about money… It’s always been, ‘How can I make my fans happy? How can I be the best at what I’m doing?'” he told Page Six.

“Her money came with the success, but that has never been a goal of hers. And I love that about her,” he added.

Beyoncé’s lucrative “The Renaissance World Tour” and “Cowboy Carter” concerts — in addition to her business empire, which includes a SirDavis whisky and Cécred haircare — helped make her the fifth musician to make billionaire list.

The singer joins Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and her husband Jay-Z as musicians who are a part of the billionaire club.

Knowles told us he congratulated her when she made the list, but reiterated, “That’s just not Beyoncé . That’s not who she is.”

“She’s motivated by being the very best. She’s motivated by making her fans happy and…. giving back to the community as well,” he said.

Knowles launched “Destiny’s Child: Iconic Reimagined Tribute” to honor his daughter’s iconic band, in Houston, Tex., last week.

The multicity show features quintet musicians and violinists performing some of the band’s hit songs including, “Bootylicious,” “Survivor” and “Independent Women.”

Knowles shares stories throughout the hour-long performance.

“We’re planning on taking it global. And and we’re also looking at other A-list urban artists to be next… This is a partnership that I built with [live event company] Fever that’s not just based on Destiny’s Child,” he said.
