Over the weekend, it was announced by singer Billie Eilish that her secretive (first teased back in the summer) 3D concert film “Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D)” directed by James Cameron, between making his “Avatar” sequels, would be coming to theaters on March 20, 2026, thanks to Paramount Pictures, which will be distributing the project in theaters.

The film, co-directed by Eilish and James Cameron, will hit theaters on March 20, 2026, from Paramount and in partnership with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films and Lightstorm Entertainment.

”This is one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with [James Cameron] has truly been a dream come true,” Eilish wrote. “Can’t wait for you all to see it.”

In July, the two-time Oscar and nine-time Grammy winner announced at a Manchester concert that she was working on something “very, very special” that required her to wear the same outfit for multiple dates with the “Avatar” and “Titanic” filmmaker.

“Basically, I can’t say much about it but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it’s going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row,” she told the crowd.

One year ago, Cameron’s Lightstorm announced a partnership with Meta to bring more 3D content with “big-name IP” including concerts to Meta Quest headsets.

Her previous films include the 2021 documentary “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” and concert film “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.”
