Bob the Drag Queen has a new comedy special, “This Is Wild,” coming to Hulu on Jan. 16.

The comedian and drag performer, whose real name is Caldwell Tidicue, is best known for winning Season 8 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Her new hour is produced by Comedy Dynamics and directed by the company’s founder and CEO, Brian Volk-Weiss, who executive produces alongside Bob and Cisco Henson.

“Bob’s new special is absolutely hilarious front to back,” said Volk-Weiss. “Bob is one of those performers that seems to have been born for the stage, and that shines through in her new special.”

“This Is Wild” joins Hulu’s lineup of specials known as Hularious, which also includes hours from Sebastian Maniscalco, Bill Burr, Ilana Glazer, Kumail Nanjiani, Jim Gaffigan and more.

Bob has previously put out two full-length comedy specials, 2020’s “Live at Caroline’s” and 2023’s “Woke Man in a Dress.” She also has a couple of TV specials under her belt, 2017’s “Suspiciously Large Woman” and 2019’s “Crazy Black Lady.”

Her unscripted HBO series “We’re Here” landed her a Peabody Award, GLAAD Media Award and a Television Academy Honors recognition. Her podcast “Sibling Rivalry” with Monét X Change has also netted her a Queerty Award and GLAAD Media Award, and she recently helped launch a new podcast called “Quit Playin'” via her Purse First Studios banner. Bob has also guest starred on “The Traitors,” “Doctor Odyssey” and “The Simpsons,” and she published a novel titled “Harriet Tubman: Live In Concert.”

Bob is gearing up to embark on a spring and summer comedy tour as she works on a brand new hour. She is represented by UTA and managed by Producer Entertainment Group (PEG) and Shore Fire Media.
