Brandi Glanville Blames Botched Facial Disfigurement On Stress From Caroline Manzon RHUGT Scandal

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville shared the harrowing details of a tumultuous year filled with stress and health complications, which she attributes to accusations stemming from The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

“I’ve had some health issues that have affected my ability to talk, my ability to taste food. My face basically would swell up — like, I would … go into anaphylactic shock constantly, and I saw seven doctors, and their answer to it was it was stress-induced angioedema,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum told “Entertainment Tonight” Tuesday.

Angioedema “causes episodes of swelling in various parts of the body, such as the face, hands and airways,” and it can be triggered by several factors including stress, according to Medical News Today.

“I cried on my birthday. It was on Nov. 16. I cried the whole night, and I thought that was my new normal. I was just never gonna look the same or feel the same. I was just gonna be this giant pumpkin head and, like, my mouth, even now, I get tired of talking,” she continued.

Glanville, 51, said her podcast, “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” went on hiatus during her health struggles because she “would just have to stop and take breaks” while recording it. (She last released an episode in October 2023.)

The reality star shared that she ultimately was able to get help from plastic surgeon John Layke, who used a procedure called EmFace to stimulate her facial muscles.

“The idea behind it is that we put certain applicators onto areas of the face, and we have muscles in the face that either pull our expressions downward as in a frown or we have it upwards in a smile, and so this technology selectively will contract the muscles that elevate the face,” the doctor told “ET.”

Glanville first shared that she was hospitalized in October after her face “blew up like a basketball.”

“I collapsed at home this am and my SON had to call 911 for help! You guys have no idea the amount of stress I’m dealing with,” she tweeted at the time.

The scare came months after Page Six exclusively reported that Glanville was forced to leave “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” early after allegedly kissing Manzo, 62, and touching the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum’s chest and vaginal area without consent on set.

Glanville has vehemently denied the claims, even going so far as to claim she was “f–king set up” to create a storyline for the spinoff series.

Peacock delayed the season’s premiere in August, though sources told us in November that it is “probably never going to air.”

“I think the ‘Girls Trips’ shows are the Wild West,” Glanville told “ET,” explaining, “They don’t know what they’re doing yet. We can’t work 19-hour days and be fueled with alcohol all day.”

The “Traitors” alum clarified that producers “don’t force” cast members to drink but noted that being “fully wasted” and “exhausted” is “not a safe environment for any of us, and that’s what the ‘Girls Trips’ are.”

Bravo has not responded to Glanville’s claims.

Brandi, You can come up with a better excuse than that. Just say you have an addiction to plastic surgery because you're obsessed with chasing your youth.
