Cardi B Reveals Reason She and Offset's Divorce Isn't Finalized as She Insinuates Rapper Wants to 'Hold Me Hostage'

Cardi B claims that she and Offset haven't finalized their divorce yet for financial reasons.

During a recent Spaces conversation on X, the Grammy-winning femcee explained her relationship status and the ongoing legal battle.

“I’m having a baby with somebody else. So what? That happens. It’s life,” she began, referencing her current pregnancy, her fourth and first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs.

“Let me tell you something— I did things the correct way the first time. I fell in love. I got two rings on my finger. I lasted seven years, seven years that I didn’t have to last with somebody. I lasted seven years in a marriage. Stop saying, ‘Oh, but you’re still married.’ No, I’m legally separated.”

Cardi explained, “Only reason why I’m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes. Y’all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else’s taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties.”

Admittedly, she’s fighting to avoid that financial payout. “Ima fight for that. This is not no love s**t and like I said, I’m not gonna stop living my life because on a contract, I’m practically still married because somebody wanna hold me hostage if I don’t give them millions of dollars to get out of it. So, that’s what I’m going through in life.”

As far as her relationship with Diggs is concerned, she’s happy. Cardi opened up about the latter years with Offset on “Man Of Your Word,” off her new album, Am I The Drama?.

“Last time you f**ked up, said I was done/ F**ked up again, I took you back, s**t, I was dumb/ I held back for you, was really biting my tongue/ Should’ve fell back from you, instead, I gave you a son,” she confessed.

The Bronx native discussed the infidelity and trust issues, but ultimately wished him well: “I really hope you find love, I hope you find a good spirit/ I hope she satisfy your needs and everything that I didn’t.” Listen below.
