Carly Rae Jepsen Is Dropping Eight More Songs From Her Double Album

Since Carly Rae Jepsen followed up 2015’s E•MO•TION with a B-side album, the pop singer’s fans have counted on a companion project for every new release. But when Day and Night, her latest, dropped as a double LP this summer, it was unclear whether the 24-track project would come with additional music. Sure enough, Jepsen does have more in store: the eight-song Day and Night (Continued), landing this Friday.

Are you a Carly Rae Jepsen fan? Are you already itching for more music after she released her double album Day and Night last month? You’re in luck: the Canadian songstress has announced the release of an eight-song B sides collection, dubbed Day and Night (Continued), this Friday.

“B side lovers I see you and I didn’t forget our not so secret pact! Let’s get freaky,” Jepsen wrote on her social media. Day and Night (Continued) contains eight songs, with titles like “Yes,” “Wedding Season,” “Lullaby,” and “In Pure Faith.”

The announcement continues Jepsen’s tradition of releasing B sides with her associated record, which began with Emotion: Side B in 2016. Most CRJ B sides albums have arrived about a year after the original work was released, but Day and Night (Continued) is here less than a month after Day and Night arrived. Time will only tell if she plans on released additional tracks from the double album’s recording sessions.

Day and Night is Jepsen’s eighth record and first double album. The genre-trotting LP features singles “On Wires,” “After All,” “Don’t Leave Me on the Dancefloor,” and “Versailles.” Next year, she’ll trek across North America on the Day and Night Tour, including her debut performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

In other news, Jepsen is co-writing of the stage musical adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You; Lena Dunham is co-writing the book. It’s set to open on Broadway in August 2027.
