Charlamagne Tha God Urges Rappers To Ditch Entourage And Hire Professional Security

Charlamagne Tha God wants to see Nardo Wick hire legit security guards instead of the homegrown posse he's used to ... this after his crew unleashed a beating on a fan.

During a conversation with TMZ this weekend, the Breakfast Club host shared his thoughts on Wick, who's facing backlash after a video captured his crew assaulting a man who was trying to grab a photo with the Florida rapper.

"Entourages are played out, especially if you have people around you who don't serve a real purpose," Charlamagne said. "Because if those brothers served a real purpose, they wouldn't be doing something as foolish as that; that's not real security."

Charlamagne continued by warning Wick that employing members of his crew as security will only lead to more legal troubles.

"He's going to be hit in his pockets," he shared. "He's going to be spending some money. And hopefully that'll just be a wakeup call for him to change the people around him."

Earlier this week, the Jacksonville rapper hopped on Instagram to denounce the actions of his entourage.

"I don't condone what happened to my fan George after my show in any type of way, I expressed to him and his mama how sorry and concerned I was that it happened to him, multiple times before anything even posted or on the internet," he wrote in an IG post. "I sent his mama my number instantly the night it happened. I was even gone make a post to try to find out who he was before his mama text me."

Wick added that he can't control the actions of those in his crew. "I ain't know that was gone happen and I was mad when it happened. I tried to stop it as u can see in the video, and if somebody got the longer video you can see how mad I was, I love and appreciate all my fans and don't condone what happened at all dat shit ain't gangsta or cool in no type of way,"

On Saturday, Tampa police arrested two suspects in connection with the incident. Zachary Benton, 34, has been charged with felony battery, while a 15-year-old boy faces charges of felony battery and minor in possession of a firearm while wearing a mask.

I understand when you're from the hood you want to be loyal to your friends and put them on your payroll.

However, those people you've employed have no idea how the industry works, and you can't go around punching people in the face just for asking for a autograph.

The outcome will end up with the talent getting caught up in numerous lawsuits.
