Connor Storrie in Talks to Play Villain Opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel’s ‘Ghost Rider’

Over the last year, the popular HBO series “Heated Rivalry” has made Connor Storrie one of television’s biggest breakout stars, and Marvel Studios may be looking to capitalize on that momentum. The actor is reportedly in talks for a co-leading role opposite Ryan Gosling in “Ghost Rider,” with Shawn Levy directing. His character remains unknown, though speculation suggests he could play the film’s main villain.

Shawn Levy is directing the Marvel movie, from a script by “Star Wars: Starfighter” screenwriter Jonathan Tropper. “Ghost Rider” is slated to release on July 28, 2028. Levy and Gosling also produce the film alongside Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Stephen Broussard. Executive producers are Richie Palmer and Jessie Henderson.
The project is the second major movie role for Storrie, who will also appear opposite Billie Eilish in Sarah Polley’s “The Bell Jar” for Focus Features. The much-anticipated second season of “Heated Rivalry” is now filming and will premiere in the spring of 2027 on HBO Max. Storrie is represented by CAA, Linden Entertainment, Shelter PR, and Yorn Levine.

The “Ghost Rider” project is coming together quickly with plans to begin shooting in New York next year. Feige made the surprise announcement about the “Ghost Rider” movie during Marvel’s Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, welcoming Gosling and Levy on stage to talk about the project.
“I’m having the greatest flashback vibes here, because I was here two years ago when we showed ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ I’ll never forget that night, because I was introduced to the greatest fans,” Levy said onstage.
THR broke news of Storrie’s potential involvement in the film. Marvel Studios does not comment on casting.
