David Geffen’s estranged husband David Armstrong has filed his response to the billionaire’s divorce filing, which came earlier this month after nearly two years of marriage.

The former go-go dancer filed a response to Geffen’s divorce petition Tuesday and specified, “The exact nature and extent of separate property assets and obligations are unknown at this time.”
He added that he “reserves the right to amend this Response when same is ascertained.”
Armstrong also noted in a separate section of the court documents, obtained by Page Six, that the “exact nature and extent” of the assets shared between the previously married couple “are unknown at this time,” meaning there would need to be a more in-depth probe into what those actually are.
He also requested that Geffen, 82, be made responsible for paying all attorneys fees and costs.
Page Six has reached out to the former record executive’s lawyer for comment but has not heard back.
Geffen — who has a net worth of $8.7 billion, per Forbes — has no current flow of income other than investments, including property sales and dividends from stocks and equities, TMZ reported Wednesday.

However, those assets are reportedly considered separate property, meaning they belong solely to the successful film producer and are not subject to division between the parties.
Geffen and Armstrong — who also goes by the stage name Donovan Michaels — reportedly have no prenuptial agreement, which raises the stakes.
The American businessman amassed his wealth via several record companies, including DreamWorks Records, Asylum Records, Geffen Records and DGC Records.
Geffen reportedly met Armstrong in 2020 when the latter worked as personal trainer. The two tied the knot in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif., on March 7, 2023.
Armstrong’s ex-girlfriend said in a recent interview that she thought the former male model — who was known to only date women before — “got what he was looking for” by marrying a rich man.
“He cared a lot about the money, in my eyes,” she told the Daily Mail under the condition of anonymity. “He always wanted to become rich and famous.”
Geffen cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. No further details have been revealed.
