Days Of Our Lives Actor Cody Longo Dead At 34

Actor Cody Longo, best known for his roles on Days of Our Lives and Hollywood Heights has died. He was 34.

The actor’s manager, Alex Gittelson, confirmed the tragic news on Twitter on Friday, writing, “Devastated beyond words at the tragic loss of my dear friend and client, Cody Longo.”

“My heart breaks for his beautiful family,” Gittelson added. “You will be missed, brother.”

According to TMZ, Longo’s lifeless body was discovered in bed at a residence in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday.

The outlet claims his wife, professional dancer/choreographer Stephanie Longo, was at work at a local dance studio that day when she could not get ahold of her husband.

She reportedly called the police after feeling uneasy about not hearing from Longo and asked the officers to go check on him.

Per TMZ, cops responded to the home and knocked, but no one answered, so they kicked the door down.

That’s when they reportedly found him dead in a bedroom.

A family member told the outlet that Cody — who also appeared in “Bring It On: Fight to The Finish,” “Nashville” and “Hollywood Heights” — struggled with alcohol abuse for years.

He reportedly went to rehab in the summer of 2022, and Stephanie told TMZ he had been working hard on himself to fight for their three children: a daughter, 7, and two sons, 5 and 1.

Update: Shortly after Cody's death, his wife Stephanie released a statement:

"Cody was our whole world. The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated," she shared of the couple's three young children. "He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you."

Longo's manager Alex Gittelson also remembered his "dear friend for over a decade."

"My heart breaks for his beautiful family," he said of Longo. "He had taken some time away from acting to pursue music and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly and he was excited to get back into acting this year."

Gittelson added: "Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person and he will be greatly missed."

RIP!
