Drag Race All Stars 11’s Morphine Love Dion Doesn’t Like fan Pressure to Come Out as Trans

RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 and All Stars 11 queen Morphine Love Dion, who identifies as non-binary had fans wondering on social media if she had come out as transgender after seeing their out of drag confessional look.

“I can’t remember… did Morphine come out as a trans woman?” one asked. Another said on X: “Is Morphine trans cause oh my god that’s a woman.”

Is Morphine Love Dion trans?

Morphine Love Dion has said on multiple occasions that she identifies as non-binary, but on the more feminine side. At the time of her announcement for All Stars 11, she has not publicly come out as a trans woman.

During an exchange with season 17 queen Kori King, she said: “Kori and I are trans non-binary h***.”

While non-binary is considered part of the trans umbrella, Morphine has specifically said she’s non-binary.

In 2024, as her original season was airing, she clarified things on X after talking about getting a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) on the show.

A number of fans tagged her in a post from Dr Miami that read: “Yes men get BBLs too,” to which she replied: “Hi I love y’all [so much] but [please] stop tagging me in this. Y’all know I’m a they/them/her right? And if you didn’t know, now [you] know.”

She also clarified things with Out, saying: “I’m non-binary, more to the femme side. It’s just something I’ve personally been more comfortable identifying as for years now.”

‘I don’t think it’s cute to force or pressure someone into transitioning’

Similarly, speaking with Entertainment Weekly, she addressed comments from fans suggesting she should come out as trans, as her co-star Amanda Tori Meating had.

She said: “Even before Drag Race, every time, a beautiful trans girl would be like, ‘You’re so gorgeous. When are you starting [hor]‘mones?’ It would bother me a lot.

“Now it’s more of a joke, because they know I’m not there yet. I’m not saying I don’t want to be trans, I’m not saying I am trans – if I am, I need time for myself to figure that out.

“I’m comfortable with myself now, and I don’t think it’s cute to force or pressure someone into transitioning. I think it’s a little weird.”
