Oscar-nominated Precious actress and member of the American Horror Story coven Gabourey Sidibe confronted Disney Channel icon Raven-Symoné over their past feud.
During a recent appearance on Raven’s Tea Time podcast (below), Sidibe, 43, confronted the 40-year-old That’s So Raven alum and former View cohost about how she treated her years prior.
Raven began a segment of the podcast by admitting that she was “jealous” of Sidibe after the actress found mainstream success as the lead of Precious, the Oscar-winning 2009 drama directed by Lee Daniels and produced by Oprah Winfrey. Sidibe received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance.
“Because when I was growing up in the industry, no one dressed me. I wasn’t able to do fashion icons, really, like you, I had to go buy my stuff,” Raven said, telling Sidibe that she felt uncomfortable being a size 16 and unable to find designers willing to work with her at the height of her own child stardom.

“Can we get into this? Because you’ve never been fat, and that is what bugs me. Because you had big boobs. That’s different than being plus,” Sidibe said, pushing back on Raven’s remarks. Raven said, “I was a 16, I was a 10, I was a 12, 13, I went all the way up to 16,” adding that she felt a lack of support from Hollywood style circles as a result of her size.
“I remember when you came on the scene, and you were embraced, and I was like, wow, I’m not, she is,” Raven admitted. “[I thought], Congratulations, thank you for knocking down doors, and I’m also, like, angry.”
Sidibe then revealed, “Girl, I didn’t think you liked me.” When Raven asked why she thought that, she responded, “Because you treated me like you didn’t like me!”
Raven said “my bad” after speculating that Sidibe referenced an interaction “at Empire,” Daniels’ and Sidibe’s Fox drama series on which Raven guest-starred on in 2015.
“I was told that you made some people promise to not be friends with me,” Sidibe added, though the podcast censored the names the actress dropped. “I was told that you made some folks promise not to be friends with me.”
Sidibe then recalled that she went to a restaurant in Chicago, where she “felt like [Raven was] put off by me.”

Raven’s wife and podcast cohost, Miranda Maday, reassured Sidibe that her spouse wasn’t the kind of person to be “petty” and tell others not to hang out with her, but that she could come off as “cold” if she’s unfamiliar with a person or situation.
“What I would say is, like, ‘Don’t bring her around me,’” Raven admitted, adding that she had “a lot of chips on my shoulders” at the time.
The pair laughed off the past feud, however, and the podcast delved into other, more positive topics.
