Hayden Panettiere’s Ex-Fiancé Claims actress’ Jewelry was Pawned After Her Death, Demands Investigation

Wladimir Klitschko, who shares a daughter with late actress Hayden Panettiere, wants a judge to grant police involvement in recovering her jewelry, which he believes was pawned.

The 50-year-old said he believes “a non-family member previously connected to” Panettiere pawned some of her belongings — including jewelry — according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The former professional boxer claimed the pawn shop refused to provide details about the items unless contacted by law enforcement, adding that he feared they would be sold to third parties without authorities’ involvement.

Klitschko’s latest filing asks that he be given the authority to request a law enforcement investigation into the recovery of Panettiere’s property.

It comes shortly after he requested to be named guardian of his and Panettiere’s 11-year-old daughter Kaya’s estate.

Klitschko filed paperwork in Los Angeles on Sept. 24 seeking to be named temporary guardian of Kaya’s estate.

He wrote that his daughter — who lives with her dad in Ukraine — “is entitled to the entirety” of Panettiere’s assets, adding that it was “urgent and essential” that he be appointed so he “may receive, manage and hold” Kaya’s assets on her behalf.

Klitschko also said he was “informed and believes” that federal agents entered Panettiere’s Los Angeles residence and “removed property belonging to Hayden’s estate.”

“Prior to her death, Hayden and [Klitschko] had hired a security service to protect Hayden’s home and its contents, arising from a documented concern that an individual had gained unauthorized access to Hayden’s property,” the court documents read.

“Locks [on] Hayden’s home were changed by the security service following Hayden’s death, and storage units containing designer clothing and accessories worn to public appearances have been relocated as a precaution.”

Klitschko also alleged that certain personal items, including jewelry, “have disappeared or remain unaccounted for.”

Sources close to Panettiere’s family told TMZ they support the filing, saying, “Wlad is a great father, and we are grateful.”

Panettiere’s parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, have also disagreed over what should happen to the jewelry she was wearing when she died.

According to the coroner’s report obtained by Page Six, the late “Heroes” actress was wearing “stud type earrings” when she died, which were removed from her body during her autopsy and placed in a locker for safekeeping.

While one parent requested they be mailed to North Carolina, the other wanted them sent to an address in California.

“Both parties were informed that until they could reach an agreement regarding the decedent’s personal effects that they would not be released,” the report stated.

Panettiere died Aug. 16 at age 36 while staying at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office ruled that the cause of death was the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine, with her manner of death determined to be accidental.

Following her death, Klitschko shared a throwback photo of himself, Panettiere and their daughter on Facebook, writing in part, “Our family is going through a time of profound shock and grief” and that the “Nashville” actress “left this world far too soon.”
