'I never even thought I had to say "This (expletive) is never going to happen,"' John Doe told ABC7.

The alleged assault happened after the two went out for drinks in June 2022.

John Doe said he contacted police the immediately despite fear of how speaking up would affect his career in Hollywood.

The aspiring writer added that he came forward publicly because he and detectives believe there are other victims.

Andries is scheduled in court next month.

The Hollywood veteran was nominated for an Oscar in 1994 for his writing on the live action short Kangaroo Court.

He has also worked on other hit shows such as Alias, How to Get Away with Murder, Supernatural and Being Mary Jane.

Freelance writer Adam Korenman spoke highly of Andries in a 2019 post.

'He said, "Don't be an as*****." No matter what kind of writer you want to be, treat everyone with respect. Be empathetic. It'll make you a better writer and person.'

Anyone with information about additional potential crimes involving Andries has been asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
