Jennifer Lopez Locks Lips With Backup Dancers in Electric AMAs 2025 Opening Performance

Ben Affleck? Yesterday’s news. Jennifer Lopez was all about getting it on at the AMAs -- kicking off the show by locking lips with her backup dancers right on stage.

Jennifer Lopez shocked fans when she kissed two backup dancers — a man and a woman — during her opening performance at the American Music Awards 2025 in Las Vegas Monday night.

The pop star busted a move to the top hits this year — including Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Bad Bunny’s “NUEVAYoL” and Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” — within the first six minutes of the show.

The “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker, 55, performed in a nude, sparkling jumpsuit. She wore her signature honey-blond hair sleek and straight for the performance.

Lopez — who is newly single after her recent divorce from Ben Affleck — left Tiffany Haddish in awe as the comedian cracked a joke about the surprising lip-lock while introducing the nominees for favorite R&B song.

“Save a dancer for me, J.Lo, damn! You ain’t the only one that’s single,” Haddish quipped.

Earlier this month, the “Hustlers” actress — who’s also hosting the AMAs — revealed she sustained a nasty facial injury while rehearsing for Monday’s show.

She shared a picture of a cut across her nose on her Instagram Story and later showed herself icing the gash.

She later thanked plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond for “stitching [her] up,” adding, “A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new.”

Injuries aside, the singer recently told People that life feels “really healthy and good” after her split from Affleck.

As she prepared to host the big show, Lopez said: “It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy.”

“I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time. That’s always my goal,” she added.

Hennifer, you are so late jumping on the making out with your dancers stunt. Madonna did it 22 years ago with Britney and Xtina (fun fact: Madonna actually asked JLo to perform the infamous Hollywood remix kiss but couldn't do it because of scheduling conflicts. Xtina ended up stepping in). Britney has done it. Lil Nas X has even done it at the EBT awards. Heck, Adam Lambert made out with his male band member.

When Madonna kissed Britney it was at a time when Britney had just broken up with Justin and she did it while he was sitting in the audience at the VMA's. Hennifer out here swapping spit with all the genders and Ben is busy smoking his cigarettes, drinking his fifth cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee and minding his own business. So I don't think he cares.

As for my overall assessment of the AMAs: The #AMAs2025 is an absolute joke. They couldn't get any of the major nominees to show up except SZA, who at this point would show up to an envelope opening. Janet gave the same one two step that she always gives with her two song performance.

Speaking of one two step, why didn't they ask Ciara to present Janet with her Icon award? I love Tasha Smith as an actress, but why her? Because they did a Tyler Perry movie together eons ago?

Hennifer Lopez ate with her opening performance, and served with her many costume changes, but lacked the personality to emcee an awards show. However I understood why they chose her. They relied on her keen fashion sense to keep the show going. Benson Boone did a good job trying to sell that mid song to the mainstream, but I'm starting to get bored with the flips.

How the heck did Eminem win Best Rap Album over Kendrick, Drake and Tyler, The Creator? This is 2025 not 2005. I loved Gloria Estefan and Gwen Stefani's performances.

Also loved Shaboozey's side eye and chuckle to Megan Moroney, who read off the teleprompter that 1920s folk group The Carter Family practically invented country music. Unless you're talking about Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter (which we know Beyonce didn't event country music, but she's reminding you with Cowboy Carter of the genre's roots) we know that's a damn lie, because the Carter family didn't invent a goddamn thing. Per usual clear folks love appropriating things for their own financial gain.

Based on last night's show I think it may be time for the AMA's to sashay away, because if you can't get Taylor Swift to pull herself away from a Memorial Day BBQ plate, or some of the biggest nominees to show up like Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and Kendrick Lamar to show up, then what's the point of this show when some of the biggest celebrities don't even care.
