This isn’t K. Michelle‘s first rodeo. The R&B-turned-country music artist, who got her reality TV start on Love & Hip Hop, has found herself at the center of the drama in The Real Housewives of Atlanta after accusing Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora of “plotting” against her behind the scenes.

In the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the singer revealed that she got a call from a friend confirming that other women on the cast were allegedly scheming against her off-camera. The suspects? Sidora and Williams.

K. Michelle felt that Williams’ comment at dinner about a funky oyster was her subtle attempt at exposing a vulgar rumor that the musician’s ex had previously spread about her “lady parts.” She also accused Sidora of insinuating that she previously had some sort of romantic past with Sidora’s “friend” Blakk Tatted.

Because these accusations seemed to come out of left field, many viewers thought K. Michelle was acting “paranoid” and trying to get ahead of narratives that may not have even existed. But the reality TV veteran doubled down, insisting there was more going on behind the scenes than what viewers saw.

“I’ve done [reality TV] for a decade, even produced reality TV. I know exactly what’s going on around me,” she told DECIDER when she stopped by our studio earlier this week. “I have a big heart, and you can call that sensitive. But one thing I’m not is a fool. I’m not a dummy.”

“I know very much what’s going on. I know very much what you’re trying to plan and what you’re trying to produce,” she continued. “You’re not the producer of the show, and I’m seeing you produce … I know exactly what these young ladies were planning. When I let them know I knew it, it shut down what they thought they were about to do.”

While K. Michelle and Sidora engaged in a heated exchange, the “Jack Daniel’s” singer did not confront Williams over the comment she made in the episode. According to K. Michelle, she wanted to take her time to process the information she was given and figure out how she wanted to respond “without crashing out.”

“I’ve acted emotionally on TV before,” she explained. “It does make for great TV, but those are things that my son has to see and that the women who are looking up to me have to watch, so I watch the things I say and I think about it. At that moment, I didn’t owe anybody anything. I just wanted them to know, ‘I know exactly what’s going on. I’m always going to know.'”

When it comes to who told K. Michelle that the women were conspiring against her, she remained tight-lipped. “We’re just gonna say Jesus called, and I’ll see you at the reunion about that,” she teased.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
