Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Call It Quits After 8-Year Romance

Katy Perry just can't seem to catch a break. After a flop album and disastrous world tour, now comes word that her private life is in shambles as well.

After weeks of speculation that their relationship was on the rocks, TMZ is reporting that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called it quits after almost a decade together.

And to add fuel to the fire, Orlando is expected to make his single and ready to mingle debut at Jeff Bezos' and Lauren Sanchez's upcoming wedding in Italy.

The insider said: 'He's the life of the party and he's gonna hit the dance floor hard!' and added he may even 'sneak away with Leonardo DiCaprio for some bar crawling.'

Another source said: '90 per cent of the people at the wedding are kinda boring, but 10 per cent are really fun, including Orlando, Leo and Jeff (Bezos). It's gonna be a great party!'

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry for comment and did not immediately hear back,.

This comes after it was revealed Perry would miss the wedding due to her ongoing Lifetimes tour in Australia

The three-day wedding celebration will reportedly take place from June 24 to the 26th in Venice, Italy, while Perry is set to be on the other side of the world.

Perry had shows in Perth, Australia on June 22 and 23rd, followed by a concert on June 26 in Adelaide. Perry first announced the Australian tour in September 2024, and though it did not initially include the 23rd and 26th dates, they were added within the following weeks.

Bloom has so far not visited Perry on her Australian leg of the tour.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Perry and Bloom for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The A-listers are friends with the Amazon CEO and former TV journalist, with Katy joining Sanchez on the all-female Blue Origin mission in April.

She even attended her subsequent bachelorette party in Paris.

Earlier this month People claimed Katy's poorly-performing album 143 has caused 'tension' in her relationship with her fiance.

The singer's seventh studio album, 143, was released in September 2024, and received a largely negative response from fans as well as critics, who claimed the record sounds 'generated through AI.'

'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed,' a source told People on Monday.

'Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension,' the insider added.

Another source shared: 'She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship.'

Meanwhile, an insider recently told the Daily Mail: ‘Katy has been through it the last few months,' the insider said. 'Leaving American Idol, releasing her lackluster album, the debacle over her space mission, and her struggling tour have been disappointing and stressful.'

'There aren’t many people she can dump her emotions on, but obviously she can with Orlando. But with his work and juggling parenting, life as of late has put a strain on their relationship,' the source added.

‘The rumors of a rough patch are true, but it’s not at the point of no return,’ our source said. ‘They know they must fix things, and they both want to figure it out.

‘They haven't been able to sit down and work on some of their issues. A breakup isn’t imminent, but they both know that they should focus on their relationship before it does become too late.’

Perry and Bloom first met in January 2016. They had a brief breakup in 2017, but later reconciled by March 2018.

The pair got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020.

Bloom also has a 13-year-old son named Flynn with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, 42.
