Kim Kardashian Reveals ‘Final Straw’ That Ended ‘Toxic’ Marriage to Kanye West

Kim Kardashian has opened up about the lasting impact of her 'toxic' marriage to Kanye West - admitting she still finds it hard to date and detailing the struggles of co-parenting.

During Wednesday’s episode of “Call Her Daddy,” host Alex Cooper asked her what the “final straw” was in their union, which she acknowledged was “toxic” at times.

“There was just a lot of things that I wouldn’t deal with,” she began. “I didn’t like the feeling of someone talking bad about my kids, grandmother, aunts — all of those feelings.”

“If someone feels that way, then we shouldn’t be together. Airing out a lot of personal stuff,” she added, referring to the moment that West revealed Kardashian had considered having an abortion the first time they got pregnant.

The Skims founder went on to say that “not feeling safe emotionally and financially” also made her reconsider their marriage.

She went on to detail an instance when she “would come home and [they] would have five Lamborghinis” and then the next day, “they would be gone when he was in an episode.”

Kardashian, 44, recalled he would give them away “to all of his friends” before it happened a second time.

“You never know what you’re going to get when you wake up, and that’s a really unsettling feeling,” she noted. “Lack of stability was a big thing.”

During their chat, she revealed her fear of being excluded from the fashion and art world that West had introduced her to following their divorce.

However, “some of [her] biggest projects came about after [she] made that decision.”

“It was the universe rewarding me and showing me that I was moving in the right direction. And I think that’s like a really important, powerful thing to pay attention to the signs and pay attention to life and what happens and how you can be guided to make really good decisions, but I have no regrets,” she concluded.

“I have four amazing, beautiful babies.”

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum also based her decision to file for divorce on wanting to set a good example for their four children, referring to daughter North, 12, son Saint, 9, daughter Chicago, 7, and son Psalm, 6.

“Once my mental health starts to get affected and I can’t parent the way I need to and I can’t be present or focused, there’s got to be one of us that can,” she said.

“I had to save myself to be a better mom, and I think that when everyone’s older, they’ll be able to see it and understand it all.”

The demise of Kardashian and West’s marriage was not only captured on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” but also in his “In Whose Name?” documentary.

In one specific scene, the “Kardashians” star broke down in tears after the rapper-turned-fashion designer confessed that he stopped taking his medication.

“Your personality was not like this a few years ago,” she sobbed as he told her he had been off his meds for “five months.”

West, 48, was previously diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but later claimed he was autistic.

In another clip, West loses his temper with Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, who urged him to get back on his medication.

“Y’all demasculated me and made me feel like a piece of s–t,” he told her. “And the only reason you got away with it is because I was medicated.”

“No one from the family is taking any responsibility for my hospital visit, but if you wanna go online that’s 50 percent of what people say. At least,” the songwriter claimed. “Am I lying?”

When Jenner replied that “it doesn’t matter,” West began to scream.

“It does matter!” he yelled repeatedly, shouting over Jenner as she pointed out that she hadn’t “finished a sentence.”

The momager was able to clarify, “It matters to us and you. It doesn’t matter what the internet says. It matters what we think, Ye.”

The “Heartless” rapper married Kardashian in 2014 and went on to welcome their four children.

However, by 2022, following his worrisome behavior, she filed for divorce.

Soon after, West moved on with Bianca Censori, a Kardashian look-alike. The two got married by 2023.
