Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s Son KJ, 15, Was on Court Supervision for Filming and Having Sex with Underage Relative

Investigators have reportedly found evidence of Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., having sex with an underage relative.

On Friday, Sept. 11, the 15-year-old appeared in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court for a bond hearing regarding the seven felony charges he’s facing from a separate alleged sexual assault incident involving a female classmate. According to Page Six, Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy revealed ahead of Judge Melynee Leftridge’s ruling that investigators discovered multiple videos on KJ’s cellphone showcasing the teen allegedly engaging in penetrative sex and using “predatory, derogatory” language with a family member under the age of 12.

“This would now mark the second time he has been charged with an offense of a sexual nature of a very serious kind which involves female victims,” McGillicuddy said in court, per the outlet.

The DA said in court that KJ has been under court supervision since October 2025 following the incident with his family member, according to Page Six.

PEOPLE has reached out to Zolciak, Biermann and a legal representative for KJ for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The district attorney’s office declined to comment on the case.

Leftridge is expected to decide whether KJ will be released on bond by Monday, Sept. 14, according to Page Six. The outlet also noted that in KJ’s attorney Jason Sheffield’s plea for KJ’s bond, he said the entire situation has been “so traumatizing” for the teen, who is “not a boisterous kid” and is “somewhat quiet.”

In response, McGillicuddy said that the female classmate in the alleged sexual assault case suffered “documented physical injury,” describing it as “predatory.”

While Sheffield requested KJ be released on $65,000 bail and be monitored by Zolciak, 48, at home, McGillicuddy requested that the bond be set at $190,000 if granted at all, per the outlet.

KJ is currently facing charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16, according to court records viewed by PEOPLE.

The indictment stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on April 23, 2026. KJ was arrested on Aug. 17 in Alpharetta, Ga., according to court documents previously obtained by PEOPLE. Authorities took him into custody at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta.

Sheffield previously denied the allegations made against KJ in a statement to Page Six.

“The fact that he’s been arrested and is being held without bond is a tragedy,” Sheffield told the outlet. “He is not only presumed innocent, but is, in fact, innocent.”

After KJ was arrested, his mother issued a statement, telling Us Weekly, that the allegations are “nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling.”

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” Zolciak said. “My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed. Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found.”

“False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence,” she continued. “At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation.”

“We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations,” Zolciak concluded.

KJ is one of six children the estranged couple share. The former couple, who are in the middle of a contentious divorce, also share son Kash, 14, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. Biermann, 40, also adopted Zolciak’s daughters Ariana, 24, and Brielle, 29, from a previous relationship.

In April 2023, after roughly 12 years of marriage, Zolciak and Biermann filed for divorce. However, in July 2023, a source told PEOPLE that the couple called off the divorce and are “trying to make it work for the kids.” Then, in August 2023, Biermann filed for divorce for a second time.
