Of course, this probably doesn’t come as much of a shocker. Sweet Tea joined the series in Season 10, marking the return of Quad Webb’s ex-husband, Dr. Greg Lunceford. Since then, there’s been nonstop fighting among the cast, with everyone being forced to choose between Quad and the Luncefords. Now, it sounds like maybe the producers chose a side, too.

The drama between Quad and the Luncefords came to a head in Season 11. Dr. Greg and Quad’s new man nearly got into a physical altercation during the cast trip. They spent the last few episodes of Season 11 avoiding each other like the plague.

When it was time to sit down for the Season 11 reunion, Lateasha revealed to us in an exclusive interview that she was contemplating skipping out on the sitdown. To her credit, she did show up. There just wasn’t much progress made.

In a YouTube Live from May 7, Sweet Tea answered fan questions. Someone in the comments said they were “glad” she wasn’t returning. From there, she confirmed her M2M departure and spoke about the show in the past tense. The Air Force vet said that her experience felt “foul.”

“Know that I’m not a quitter, never ever been a quitter, and I never ran away from anybody, just putting that out there,” Sweet Tea said in the video.

“But it is what it is,” she continued. “There are better things in store for me. I think that platform was what it was for me at the moment, and I think God has something better, and I’m going down the right path.”

Married to Medicine is streaming on Peacock.
