Latin Grammys 2025: Bad Bunny Wins Big as ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ Takes Album of the Year

ree

It should come as a shock to no one: The 2026 Latin Grammy Awards were all about Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican superstar won album of the year for his landmark release “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.” After thanking his family and all those who worked on the album, he ended his speech with “Puerto Rico, I love you, thank you.”

Bad Bunny and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso came away as the big winners from this year’s Latin Grammys, as both the Puerto Rican superstar and the fast-rising Argentinian duo took home five awards in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Along with wins in the urban and Reggaeton categories, Bad Bunny finally took home album of the year for the first time with Debí Tirar Más Fotos, his smash hit love letter to Puerto Rico. The album was just nominated last week for album of the year in the general Grammy Awards as well, where it will go up against the likes of Kendrick Lamar’s GNX and Lady Gaga’s Mayhem among others.

Benito entered tonight’s awards as the top nominee, leading the field with 12 nominations including two entries in both the record and song of the year categories. Perennial hitmaker Edgar Barrera was close behind with 10, as were Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso. Ca7riel and Paco won for best pop song, best alternative music album, best alternative song and best short form music video and long form music video.

Elsewhere in the general categories, Alejandro Sanz won record of the year for “Palmeras En El Jardín,” while Karol G‘s “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” won for song of the year. Paloma Morphy, meanwhile, won out for best new artist.

This year’s awards marked the Latin Grammys’ 14th time in Sin City, and a return to Vegas for the first time since 2022. Since then, the 2023 awards took place in Spain, while last year’s show was in Miami.

Aside from the awards themselves, the night kicked off Santana playing his international hit “Oye Como Va” alongside the ceremony’s host Maluma as well as Cristian Nodal, Barrera and Grupo Frontera. Gloria Estefan, who won best traditional tropical album for her record Raices, performed “La Vecina” alongside Nathy Peluso.

Elena Rose performed a beautiful rendition of her song “Me Lo Merezco,” and Karol G, who’s set to headline Coachella 2026, followed that directly after with a performance of “Coleccionando Heridas” alongside Marco Antonio Solis. Kacey Musgraves, meanwhile performed a rendition of “Lost in Translation” alongside Carin León for the song’s live debut.

A list of some of many of tonight’s winners is below, with winners in bold. A full list is available on the Latin Recording Academy’s website.
