Lil Kim has been selected to fill in for original special guest Ludacris on Janet Jackson's Together Again tour. Luda has to bow out due to promotional duties for Fast X.
The ladies have always supported one another throughout their careers. Kim referenced Janet on the Notorious K.I.M. track I'm Human, and on The Naked Truth classic Lighter's Up.
Speaking of which, I'm sure in addition to those songs I mentioned we will be hearing Kim spit her classics ‘No Matter What They Say,’ ‘How Many Licks,’ ‘No Time,’ 'Big Momma Thang,' and more at PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania on May 18 (according to the venue’s official website). The event will occur just two days after Jan’s 57th birthday.
Janet has also paid homage to the queen bee, mashing up Lil’ Kim’s classic “Crush on You” during her State of the World Tour, and they hung out together when Jackson was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 and on her Las Vegas Metamorphosis residency that same year.
Kim will also perform back-to-back shows, May 9 and May 10, at Madison Square Garden in her hometown New York City.
