On Tuesday, the rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, uploaded a video to his Instagram Story in which he assured followers that he would be "okay" after pleading not guilty to four felony charges on Monday.
"Your girl is gonna be okay, y'all," the artist said in the clip. "Okay? She's gonna be alright. S---."
The Grammy winner looked away for a moment, letting out a tired laugh before he continued. "That was f---ing terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days. But your girl is gonna be alright."
The Atlanta-born rapper was arrested early Thursday in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles, where officers alleged they found the 26-year-old walking nude the street shortly before 6 a.m. Authorities claim he charged at officers when confronted, leading to his arrest. Suspecting a possible overdose, police transported the musician to a local hospital, where he spent several hours before being taken to jail.

TMZ was the first to report that the rapper was seen wandering the streets of L.A., sharing video footage of Lil Nas X captured by a passerby. A subsequent video from the outlet saw the man believed to be the "Old Town Road" singer fully naked, having shed the boots and underpants worn in the initial footage. (An individual who claimed to be present for the rapper's walk grabbed the boots from the street and listed them for sale on eBay, seeking $10,000.)
The "Industry Baby" rapper was charged with four felonies: three counts of battery against a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer, Entertainment Weekly learned. Lil Nas X pleaded not guilty to all four charges at his Monday arraignment and, per Reuters, his bail was set at $75,000. A Los Angeles judge additionally ruled that he has to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings upon his release.
He was released that afternoon, according to TMZ.
Before Lil Nas X broke his social media silence, his father Robert Stafford told reporters that his son was "in good spirits," as captured in video by TMZ.
"He's very remorseful for what happened," Stafford added saying his son is "going to get the help that he needs.
When asked what his first conversation with his son had been like, his dad said, "It was awesome. Awesome. We shed tears. We shared laughter. But he's in great spirits. He's gonna be great. Like I say, God is good."

The rapper's lawyer, Drew Findling, also spoke to reporters in video captured by the outlet, pointing to his client's professional accomplishments and that he's "never stepped in a courthouse before."
He said he wasn't sure yet if the incident had to do with any kind of substance, medical, or emotional issue. "There's no way for us to know right now," he said. "Just know that we're going to do our very best to address those issues. Anybody that has kids, you hear about things like this all the time. Don't forget, he's 26 years old. So it’s not unusual for something like this to happen, particularly when you have the pressure of being recognized internationally like him."
He asked that people "don't judge somebody by the worst moment in their life."
Prior to his arrest, Lil Nas X wiped his Instagram page before making several cryptic posts that caught the attention of fans. He additionally shared snippets of unreleased songs and photos from inside his home, leading to speculation about a new album and a new music era.
Lil Nas X, who is signed by Columbia Records, released his debut studio album, Montero, in 2021. His most recent release was the EP Days Before Dreamboy, which debuted in March.
