"Love and Hip Hop" Star Sidney Favors Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child

Former Love & Hip Hop: New York star Sidney Starr was arrested on multiple charges related to sexual assault allegations against a minor.

Starr, who was born Sidney Favors, was arrested at an Embassy Suites in Hapeville, Ga., on Sunday, Aug. 2. Favors allegedly confessed to performing oral sex on a boy and claimed it was consensual, Atlanta News First reported, citing an arrest warrant.

Favors is charged with sexual battery against a child under 16, aggravated child molestation and sodomy, according to court records viewed by PEOPLE. A representative for Favors offered no comment when contacted by PEOPLE.

The Baddies ATL star was booked into the Fulton County Jail and has not been released as of publication. No additional details will be released due to the involvement of a minor, the Hapeville Police Department said, per Atlanta News First.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution, 11 Alive reported.
