In a new conversation with “Shirley’s Temple,” the “Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood” alum got real about her role in Beyoncé’s iconic track “Drunk In Love” and how she wasn’t even credited for it. During the interview, Anderson didn’t shy away from claiming her work. She stated plainly to host Shirley Ju, “I also did ‘Drunk in Love.’ I didn’t get credited for that.”
Those words landed hard, shining a spotlight on the less glamorous side of songwriting. Anderson went deeper into the disheartening details.
“You know songwriters get stingy,” Anderson observed, revealing that others involved in the project pressured her to sacrifice her share of royalties. After Beyoncé received her financial cut from the record, there supposedly wasn’t much left to go around, and they targeted Anderson’s percentage.
Reflecting on her regrets, Anderson admitted how her own hesitation played into it. “And my dumba** said yes but didn’t want to,” she shared with candid self-awareness.
Anderson also worked on Bey’s track, “Jealous,” though she acknowledged that “Drunk In Love” was the bigger record. Beyoncé’s team has not spoken out about this troubling revelation.
