“I want to publicly apologize because I don’t think that I have been using my platform the way I wanna use it,” the 20-year-old said in an Instagram video on Monday. “Social media is like an onion: You see layers of people’s lives. You guys, quite frankly, have been seeing the worst worst times of my life.”
Milania explained to her followers that has struggled with mental health issues and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She also experiences depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD.
“I am not ashamed of any of my mental health disorders,” she continued, revealing that she is “currently” in a treatment center. “This summer hit me like a bus. A lot of things happened in a short period of time.”
Milania and her family had previously revealed that she lost her childhood best friend, Victoria Zardoya, following an accident that took place in July. The Bravo star said she’s been “trying to just process everything” that happened.
“It’s really hard being in the public light while you go through things in life,” Milania continued. “So, I just want to say I’m sorry because I was grown up on pure respect, love, and I just haven’t been showing the Milania that I want to show. I want to do better.”
As she concluded the video, Milania told her followers that she’s going to continue “working on myself” going forward.
While Milania continues to seek treatment, her mom and sister Gia Giudice traveled to the White House on Friday in honor of Italian-American heritage. Gia has been pleading with President Donald Trump to pardon the sisters’ father Joe Giudice, who was deported in 2019 after spending 41 months in prison for bank, bankruptcy, mail, and wire fraud.
Teresa and Joe are parents to Gia and Milania, along with daughters Gabriella and Audriana.

Milania’s Instagram post on Monday came weeks after she shared a separate clip of herself, her mom, and Gia surrounded by police officers at the Tampa International Airport. Milania could be heard saying, “This is what we do now” in the video, which was posted and subsequently deleted on Sept. 23. Teresa responded to her daughter, saying, “I love you” in the clip, which has since been shared on social media.
A rep for Milania told TMZ that she was “surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family” after the video went viral.
Multiple outlets obtained body-cam footage of the incident in the days that followed. The footage showed the family having a conversation in the airport at one point, with Teresa claiming that Milania had “fentanyl in her system.” Milania claimed that she was “laced.” Teresa explained that she and Gia were trying to help her.
Teresa eventually took to social media with a lengthy statement addressing the situation.
“As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety, and well-being of my children,” the RHONJ star wrote, in part. “The past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and l feel it is important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life.”
