‘Party Rock Anthem’ Singer Lauren Bennett Dead at 37

Lauren Bennett -- a singer best known for her feature on the hit LMFAO song "Party Rock Anthem" -- has died. She was 37.

Her former band announced the news in a statement shared to social media on Monday. “It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” they began. “Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us.”

The statement continued, “We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts.”

A cause of death was not disclosed.

Born June 24, 1989 in Meopham, England, the British singer began her music career at 18, with the formation of the girl group Paradiso Girls. They dropped their debut single “Patron Tequila” in 2009 and made some waves, reaching No. 3 on the Hot Dance Club Play Chart and No. 82 on the Canadian Hot 100. After an unsuccessful second single, the group disbanded.

Pursuing a solo career, Bennett was featured on a remix of will.i.am’s “I Got It from My Mama”. In 2011, she joined the Party Rock Tour with LMFAO and was featured on the group’s international hit, “Party Rock Anthem.” Bennett later joined G.R.L from 2013 to 2015.
