Prediction [Billboard 200]: Miley Cyrus’ ‘Bass Persuades’ on Track to Deliver Her Lowest First-Week Sales to Date

Miley Cyrus dropped her latest album, ‘Bass Persuades,’ and its like-titled lead single with little warning on September 18 – a marketing tactic some critics argue worked to its detriment.

Predicted Billboard 200 Debut:  #5-#10

If industry analyst predictions are to be believed, Cyrus’ ‘Persuades’ didn’t exactly persuade record buyers to rush to digital outlets to purchase the LP.

Expected to shift 40,000 units by the end of its inaugural sales tracking week, the sum – if proven true – will mark the lowest opening figures ever attached to a Miley studio effort.

The current owner of that personal title, 2025’s ill-fated ‘Something Beautiful,’ ended its first week with numbers hovering near the 44,000 mark before slipping off the Billboard 200 after a 2-week stay (her shortest tenure to date).

With a full schedule of promotion ahead and a warm reception at radio of ‘Persuades’ the song, however, there’s still hope for Miley’s latest.
