New York City prosecutors accused R&B artist Trey Songz of allegedly being involved in two different altercations at Manhattan night spots this month, court documents revealed.
He was charged with one count of felony criminal mischief following an incident on Sunday at 206 E. 34th St., site of the Mira Mediterranean & Hookah Lounge, at 4 a.m., according to a criminal complaint from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
The 41-year-old artist, born Tremaine Neverson, allegedly did more than $1,500 of damage to "various restaurant property. including hookhas, DJ equipment and sofas," the complaint said.
"Trey was confronted by individuals who instigated a confrontation and attempted to surround him. His security intervened to protect him and contain the situation, and an altercation occurred in the ensuing confusion," his attorney Mitchell Schuster said in a statement.
"Public figures are often treated as targets for instigation in pursuit of headlines or financial gain. We are confident the facts will speak for themselves."
Then, back on Dec. 4 at 1604 Broadway, the artist allegedly struck another man in "the face with a closed first, causing swelling and substantial pain," Manhattan prosecutors said.
That Broadway location appears to match up with at least three bars sharing that same address.

The defendant allegedly “struck, shoved, kicked and otherwise subjected another person to physical contact,” according to prosecutors.
He's been charged with a host of misdemeanors in the two incidents, including two counts of third-degree assault, attempted assault and aggravated harassment.
"Trey Songz was charged in connection with an incident that occurred last week," his attorney Schuster said. "He is cooperating fully and looks forward to the facts coming to light."
The artist was arraigned on Sunday on his own recognizance.
These were not the first run-ins Neverson has had with authorities.
He allegedly scuffled with police during a Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills playoff game in January, 2021.
Back in early 2017, the artist allegedly got into it with police as he was kicked out of a casino near Washington, D.C.
The musician allegedly trashed the Joe Louis Arena stage in 2016 after his microphone was shut off during a show. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disturbing the peace and was sentenced to probation.
