Rumor Mill: Madonna Secretly Embarking On 40th Anniversary Greatest Hits Tour

After the success of her remix album Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones, word on the street is that Madonna may be secretly planning a 40th Anniversary tour. The tour is set to kick off this year to commemorate the 40th anniversary release of her debut album.

While many were speculating that she would be releasing a follow-up to Madame X, the Queen of pop as of late has been far more interested in finding unconventional ways to release her music instead of the standard way that records have been constructed.

“I’m just looking for interesting, fun ways to re-release my catalog and introduce my music to a new generation. I’m focused on that,” she explained to Variety. “I want to go on tour again, I’m a creature of the stage. That is my happy place.”

She also spoke in an Instagram Live about whether she was planning to tour the world again.

“Hell yeah. I have to. Stadium, baby,” she said, before adding, “Me and Britney, what about that?”

The Daily Mail is reporting that she already has dates booked at London's 02 Arena.

Everybody knows Madonna has never been one to look back and perform her hits on tour, as she tends to incorporate a mixture of her classics, current album hits and non-single tracks into her live performances.

However with her career resurgence thanks to fans embracing remixes of her classic hits on TikTok like Frozen, Hung Up, and most recently the Hard Candy cutting room floor track Back That Up To The Beat, I can see why she would be interested in finally embracing the idea of a Greatest Hits tour.

Being that this is Madonna that we're talking about, we all know this isn't going to be your standard Greatest Hita tour. Word on the street is that she has been in the studio remixing her classic hits. She was also spotted back in October with long-time tour director Jamie King.

So if Madonna does end up making an announcement that she's touring this year, we better start selling pussy in Iceland, because we're about to be broke putting our live show coins towards Madonna, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, and if she does decide to have a residency in Vegas - Kylie Minogue.
