RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens Are Beefing After This Iconic Winner Just Called Season 17 ‘Garbage’

ree

Two legendary RuPaul’s Drag Race queens are feuding, and it’s getting really messy.

Despite Lexi Love’s recent announcement that she's taking an indefinite step back from drag, it seems that her hiatus does not mean that it will keep her from scalping people who cross her – most recently, season 7 winner Violet Chachki.

Violet was asked by Pride reporter Ricky Cornish about what she thought of the recently concluded seventeenth instalment of the flagship franchise – and she didn’t have glowing reviews.

“I literally have no clue [if anyone served on season 17],” she told Pride at the grand opening of The Tryst Puerto Vallarta. “I don’t watch, oh no no no. My brain is full of things already. I need to make space in my brain for things I care about.

“And [Gott]Mik keeps showing me clips and videos of things, and I go, ‘Stop showing me this garbage.’ I go, ‘Stop showing it to me!’ My brain is full, I need to save the space I have for sacred things.”

Unsurprisingly, Violet’s comments have not gone down too well with Lexi, who made it all the way to season 17’s top four, just losing out on the chance to lip-sync for the crown to Jewels Sparkles and newly crowned Drag Race winner Onya Nurve.

Drag Race queens including Lexi Love, Kori King, Plane Jane, Lydia B. Kollins, and Suzie Toot were quick to reply to Chachki's statement with some shade of their own. Scroll below to see their responses.

Soon after the discourse on Twitter begain, Chachki posted a TikTok video clarifying that she has "nothing but love and light for everything that RuPaul has done for me and for the community."

Gottmik also commented under Chachki's video saying, "The video was cut shady. Violet was saying I show her a bunch of garbage all the time not talking about [Drag Race] at all besides saying she hasn’t seen it."

So it looks like it was nothing more but a misunderstanding. Or could it be that Violet, who prides herself on being shady with her online commentary is backpedaling because they can't take the backlash?

Pride says that the clip wasn't edited to make her sound like she was throwing shade at the season 17 queens, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Violet is full of poo.

You said what you said. So stand on business and do't throw rocks and hide your hand.
