“We want to express our gratitude to Paramount for their unwavering support of the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise as we celebrate more seasons of spreading joy and laughter,” said World of Wonder co-founders and executive producers, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 delivered the highest-rated premiere in years. The latest season averaged a 0.54 rating among adults 18-34 and a 0.5 among adults 18-49, per live + same-day data from Nielsen. Season 17 also managed the most significant full-season share of television in RuPaul’s Drag Race history in key demos. Up 12% among both the 18-34 crowd and the 18-49 demo, the season scored a 6.18 share and a 4.15 share, respectively.
The latest queen to take the RuPaul’s Drag Race crown was Onya Nurve, who took home the $200,000 grand prize.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 10 saw the return of Acid Betty, Aja, Alyssa Hunter, Bosco, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Daya Betty, Deja Skye, and Denali. Other queens competing include Ginger Minj, Irene the Alien, Jorgeous, Kerri Colby, Lydia B Kollins, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Nicole Paige Brooks, Olivia Lux, Phoenix, and Tina Burner.
The latest season of All Stars introduced the Tournament of All Stars, which will divide the queens into 3 groups of 6 for the first three episodes. At the end of each bracket, the top 3 queens with the highest point totals will advance to the semi-finals, where they’ll go head-to-head with the top queens from the other groups in another round of fierce competition over two episodes. The tournament then culminates in an epic Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown grand finale episode, where the finalists will battle it out for a grand prize of $200,000 and a place in the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame.
Ginger Minj won RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 10 with Jorgeous being the runner-up.
