Chris Brown and Usher announce a joint R&B tour.

“ITS TIME! #R&BTOUR #Raymond&Brown..” Chris Brown wrote via Instagram. “GONNA BE THE BIGGEST OF ALL TIME!! let’s go bro!! Yalll ready..” commented a fan. “I’m literally boutta cry im so excited..” reacted another.

Ahead of the tour announcement, Chris Brown announced the upcoming release of his 12th studio album, titled “BROWN,” marking a significant milestone in his two-decade career.

The multi-platinum singer confirmed Friday that the highly anticipated project is scheduled to debut on May 22, 2026, via RCA Records. To coincide with the announcement, Brown released his latest single, “Obvious,” across all major streaming platforms.

The track offers fans a first glimpse into the sonic direction of the new LP, blending his signature melodic vocals with contemporary R&B production. Music industry analysts expect the single to perform well on urban radio formats throughout the spring. The album “BROWN” follows his previous successful project, “11:11,” which saw the artist exploring a split-themed sonic landscape.

While full tracklist details remain under wraps, the singer indicated that the eponymous title reflects a more personal and refined approach to his craft. “It’s OBVIOUS I’m tryna start the summer up! May 8th,” Brown said via Instagram.

Chris Brown and Usher Fans Worry about Ticket Prices for Concert

Let’s not pretend that ticket prices for concerts in general haven’t been higher than recent memory can recall. There’s already been some backlash this year for fans not happy about paying hundreds of dollars to go see Bruno Mars and Harry Styles. The latter in particular had prices exceeding $1,000. That being said, supporters of Chris Brown and Usher are terrified to see the listing price of tickets, even if they are excited to see the duo on tour together. Take a look at a few comments found on social media.

How Much Were Tickets to Usher and Chris Brown’s Last Shows

For reference sake, I decided to look at average ticket prices for the last concerts of both Usher and Brown. Usher’s last venture was in 2024 when he toured with the Past Present Future Tour (a concert I went to by the way). Tickets for the arena show started roughly around $75, but a “good seat” was between $200 and $300. Brown just wrapped the Breezy Bowl XX Tour (a stadium tour) in 2025. Tickets for Brown’s venture started out around $70, with a “good seat” again going somewhere between $200 and $300.
