Trinity the Tuck Spills the Tea on Why Alyssa Edwards ‘Punched Her in the Ear’ on Tour

Girl, we don't live.

RuPaul’s Drag Race triple alumni Trinity the Tuck has spilled the tea on Global All Stars winner Alyssa Edwards ‘punching her in the ear’ on tour in 2019.

While the RuPaul’s Drag Race universe contains plenty of on-screen beef (think Yvie Oddly vs. Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Jasmine Kennedie vs. Daya Betty, Plane Jane vs… everyone).

But die-hard fans of the show will know that the queens of the Runiverse also throw down outside the Werk Room walls – whether that be on screen, or in the case of season nine, All Stars 4 and All Stars 7‘s Trinity the Tuck and season five, All Stars 2 and Global All Stars‘ Alyssa Edward, in person.

Rumours of a physical scrap between the pair on a 2019 Christmas tour first swirled in 2022 after Bob the Drag Queen first bought up the altercation on the Sibling Rivalry podcast – and were then confirmed by Edwards in 2022.

But speaking with All Stars 4 twinner Monét X Change on the latter’s Monét Talks show, Trinity has finally spilled more tea.

“She punched me in the ear,” Trinity confirmed to Monét. “This was a one-sided fight, I did not hit her! I didn’t even know she was upset!”

Trinity then confirmed that it was “on a Christmas Tour” that the altercation occurred (the 2019 Murray and Peters tour, to be precise), and that to her, it came out of nowhere.

“You know how drag queens just banter? [Alyssa] is one of those girls who does banter! And so I thought that’s what we were doing. I thought she would get me and then I would get her with a comeback.”

Trinity continued: “I bought up the fact that I had beaten her in a pageant, and I was just kidding, because she’s also beaten me in a pageant, so it’s not like I’ve just beaten her. She’s beaten me.

“I didn’t say anything mean. I genuinely do not remember all of what led to that, other than I was laughing, and we were kiki-ing, and girl… a punch to the ear, honey. And she did pick me up and slam me, but it was into a case of waters.”

Happily, Trinity then confirmed that the pair have “worked it out since” and “are good”.

For her part, Ms. Alyssa Edwards spoke on the incident back in 2022, at a viewing party for All Stars 7 – and once again, Monét was there.

“Girl just call the bullshit out,” Edwards told host Batty Davis at Roscoe’s Tavern after the latter began skirting around the rumoured incident. “I punched the lady in the f*cking mouth, b*tch.”

“There were a few girls backstage… I think the girls were indulging in [alcohol]. One thing led to another, and it’s like ‘Girl, ok this is fun, get off me.’ And then ‘I’m gonna tell you one more time girl, get off me.’ And then, it wasn’t a brawl, it was a one-two step. And then it was like, oh my god, I can’t believe I did that.”

The Global All Stars winner added that the pair reconciled the next day.

“When me and her talked face-to-face, she was like, ‘I was out of line,’ and I was like, ‘no bitch, I was out of line,’ and I think that we were able to be adults,” Edwards said.

“I don’t think it’s abnormal for two people who like each other, care for each other, appreciate and celebrate one another, to go ‘you know what, look this was not it tonight.’ And the next day we had Starbucks so that was that.”

For anyone suffering immediate withdrawals after All Stars 10 crowned a winner, never fear; Drag Race UK vs. the World‘s third season is on the way, and Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale recently confirmed its first ever cast. And the All Stars 11 cast is already kicking about…

The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 grand finale is streaming now on Paramount+ in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally.
