After getting the world’s lower level nether region’s bouncing via the single and video release of Banjo, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 1 winner Bebe Zahara Benet is back with another catchy song and video for Body On Me, the second single from her brand new album Broken English. Bebe dropped the visual and single on Friday, the same day she released her brand new EP.
I got around to listening to the EP yesterday, and I have to say I absolutely love it. While so many Ru girls have predictably taken the dance/pop route to give something for the gays to groove to while working out at the gym or getting ready for a night out at the club, BeBe serenades us with tribal sounds and tropical vibes that will keep us thoroughly entertained throughout the upcoming summer months.
What I also like about the EP is that the songs are all radio-friendly bops, and upon listening to the songs they feel like songs that could be enjoyed by any demographic, however since they come from a drag queen I feel the media will try to limit the songs to the drag audience.
Be sure to download Broken English on whatever music streaming services you happen to own, and check out the video for Body On Me, which was directed by Assaad Yacoub, (who also directed the video for Banjo) below…
