Video: Depeche Mode- Ghosts Again

Depeche Mode are back with the visual release of Ghosts Again, their first release of new material since the passing of keyboardist and co-founder Andy Fletcher in May 2022.

The black and white video, which was directed by Anton Corbijn features singer Dave Gahan and Martin Gore strolling down the street rocking black cloaks with matching canes before ending up on a rooftop to play a game of chess.

Then we see Gahan crawling around a graveyard while Gore leans up against a tombstone while playing a guitar.

“To me, ‘Ghosts Again’ just captures this perfect balance of melancholy and joy,” Gahan said in a statement. Added Gore, “It’s not often that we record a song that I just don’t get sick of listening to – I’m excited to be able to share it.”

Sonically the song gives me chills, and it gave me the feeling of the world decaying around me with Gahan's vocals providing a beacon of hope.

The band's 15th studio album Memento Mori drops on March 24 via Columbia Records.
