Video: ZAYN - Love Like This

Gigi Hadid's baby daddy Zayn is back with a brand new song called Love Like This, and I must say it's great to see Zayn back to creating good music after the disaster that was his 2021 album Nobody Is Listening (a little forshadowing with that album title, don't you think?)

Love Like This is definitely a change for the former One Direction singer, with the high-energy dance-inspired single on track to becoming the bop of the summer.

In the futuristic video, which was directed by Ivanna Borin & Frank Borin and shot in New York, we see Zayn zooming around on a motorcycle, and shares a few steamy kisses with actress Grace Dumdaw, who plays his love interest.

“I guess that's love like this/ Usually, I never wanna jump like this/ But I think I wanna dump my chips 'cause/ I cannot go back.

I guess that's faith like this/ Give you everything and you can skate like this (Woo)/ But I think I gotta take that risk 'cause/ I cannot go back," he sings.

Recently appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the singer described how he hoped to beat out his fellow bandmates in going solo — and that after five years together, they'd started to grow sick of spending all their time together.

"I don't want to go into too much detail, but there was a lot of politics going on. Certain people were doing certain things, certain people didn't want to sign contracts, so I knew something was happening," he told host Alex Cooper. "So I just got ahead of the curve, if I’m being honest with you."

Love Like This is a taste of what's to come off of Zayn's untitled fourth album, which will be distributed through new label Mercury Records.
