'Why Are We Begging?': MAGA Minaj Ridiculed Online After Charging Fans $10 A Month for Exclusive Twitter Content

Nicki Minaj's new paid Twitter subscription has prompted mockery and unsubstantiated claims about her finances from critics online.

Minaj announced the subscription service Friday, telling her followers she had finally opened a paid section of her account.

"I finally did it. You can now subscribe to my X account. It’s for ppl who wanna have fun, think deeper, grow, learn, laugh, cry, cuss ppl out, look cute sometimes, be yourself at all times... elevate, levitate, meditate. Exclusive Spaces & Content, Welcome Aboard." This comes as Nicki recently took aim at Dr. Fauci following his recent appearance before Congress.

Nicki's latest post was accompanied by an image of a smiling doll wearing a bright pink wig, a nod to Minaj’s Barbie-inspired image and her fan base, known as the Barbz.

But rather than focusing on the promised content, several users immediately questioned why the successful rapper was asking followers to pay for access to her posts and online conversations.

"What happened to billionaire Barbie? Why are we begging for subscriptions on Twitter?" one person wrote.

Another user was even more direct, posting, "If you're broke why don't you just say that."

Others suggested Minaj was looking for extra money to handle her legal expenses, although none of the commenters provided evidence that her subscription launch was connected to any court dispute.

"here she goes begging for money again so she can pay for her legal disputes," one fan account wrote.

Another person encouraged the Barbz to sign up while mocking the rapper’s finances.

"C'mon barbz subscribe to her she needa pay dem lawsuits she lost," the user posted.

The criticism continued as some commenters claimed the subscription announcement showed Minaj was experiencing financial trouble despite her lengthy career and commercial success.

"So you are going broke. You really going out bad i see," one response read.

"A celebrity begging for fans for more money.. You're an embarrassment," another person wrote.

"I knew you were broke after all this, but to the point of asking for money on Twitter, girl, you're ruined asf," a third person posted.

Minaj has not said she is facing financial problems, and launching a paid X subscription does not by itself indicate money trouble. The feature allows prominent users and online creators to place certain posts, videos and live audio conversations behind a monthly paywall.

Still, the move gave her critics fresh ammunition, with many framing the launch as an embarrassing fall for an artist they once described as "billionaire Barbie."
