A man has been arrested after an alleged sexual assault at rapper Gunna's concert at the O2 Arena.
According to the victim who is in her 20s, during Gunna’s set on March 25, a 26-year-old man came up behind her, pulled out his p*nis and ejaculated on her leg. Recalling the alleged incident, she shared, “I felt a white substance on me and even saw his p*nis poking out, he had no remorse in his eyes. I spent my whole night crying and in disgust.”
Once she realized what allegedly happened, the woman alerted security, and a video shared online shows the individual being escorted out. Shockingly, before the man was found, he apparently went to the bathroom and changed his clothes in an attempt to hide. In a follow-up post, she thanked those who showed support, adding that the man was taken in by Metropolitan Police for questioning.
Several people online came to her defense, including #Wale, who wrote on Twitter, “That deviant at Gunna show last night a different type of animal.” Another person added, “U go concert with a change of clothes to s3xually a$$ault people. Lock dat guy up.” At this time, it’s unclear what, if any, legal repercussions the man will face.
The victim is being supported by specially-trained officers, according to the Met, which says it is prioritising women's safety by working closely with venues to provide training for staff. The O2 said security and police "attended promptly".
Gunna is an American rapper from Atlanta with more than six million followers on Instagram who is best known for songs such as Drip Too Hard with Lil Baby.
He is currently on a world tour with two dates in London before heading to Manchester then to Europe.
A spokesperson for the O2 Arena said: "We are aware of an isolated incident that occurred inside the arena during Wednesday night's event.
"The matter is now being handled by the Metropolitan Police. Our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our guests and we are assisting with their inquiries."
