Univision is reporting that Karol G (aka the Camila Cabello of Latin music) and her fiancée Anuel AA have called off their engagement after two years together.
Karol, 30 and Anuel, 28, first met in person while filming the music video for “Culpables” in 2018. “I told my manager [Frabian Eli], ‘She’s going to be my wife, I swear,'” the Puerto Rican rapper recalled to Billboard in 2019. Karol added, “That’s exactly what happened.”
The Colombian hitmaker has admitted Anuel’s bad boy image was one of the reasons he appealed to her (he was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2016 after police confiscated three firearms).
She posted a heartfelt message and photo when she celebrated his birthday back in November via Instagram, however, he did not celebrate her birthday with her last month, but congratulated her on social media.
Los Dioses, Anuel’s joint album with Ozuna is out now. Karol’s forthcoming album KG0516 drops on March 26.
