KEVIN BACON TO STAR IN AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCE BLUMHOUSE HORROR FILM SET AT GAY CONVERSION CAMP

Deadline is reporting Kevin Bacon, who is no stranger to horror films set at a camp is set to star in and executive produce an untitled queer horror film set at a gay conversion camp.

The film is set to be directed by screenwriter John Logan (this will be his directorial debut), and Theo Germaine (The Politician) will lead the cast.

The press release notes, “Logan received the Tony award for his play Red and wrote the book for the musical Moulin Rouge. As a screenwriter, he is a three-time Academy Award nominee and has received Golden Globe, BAFTA, WGA, and Edgar awards. His films include Skyfall, Spectre, Gladiator, The Aviator, Hugo, The Last Samurai, Sweeney Todd, Rango, Alien: Covenant and Any Given Sunday. He also created Penny Dreadful for Showtime.”

Jason Blum and Michael Aguilar (Penny Dreadful, Kidding) will produce.

For those not in the know, Bacon appeared in the classic 1980 horror slashic Friday the 13th.
