KYLIE MINOGUE’S SAY SOMETHING SHIMMIES IT’S WAY ONTO THE US TOP 10
Kylie Minogue‘s dreamy new single Say Something has been out less than 24 hours, and the international pop icon has just scored herself a top 10 hit on iTunes.
It’s expected that the impossible princess would score hits in places like Europe, the UK, and her native Australia, but I’m most excited that the US audience is paying attention to her once again. If I’m not mistaken I believe her last big hit here in the States was Can’t Get You Out of My Head.
Of course the American gays have been checking for Kylie throughout her 30+ career. Congratulations for debuting at #9.
As for other parts of the world, Say Something shot straight to #1 on iTunes in Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Spain. It currently sits at #2 in the UK and #3 in France.
I love the fact that Kylie, who is in her 50s still gets people excited for new music, something that is pretty rare these days. The only other person who I can think of who still makes an impact musically and creatively is Madonna.
All I’m hoping is that since Say Something is charting here that Kylie will bring the Disco tour to the US.
The last time I saw her in concert is when she performed her Aphrodite tour in New York over a decade ago.
If you haven’t done so yet, you can pre-order Disco here
