Congratulations are in order to Madonna’s first born, Lourdes “Lola” Leon, who has been chosen to be the temporary face of Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2021 campaign.
“Marc has a long-storied history with Madonna and so it only made sense for us to tap Lola to be the face of the campaign as she perfectly encapsulates the youthful spirit and uncompromising sense of individuality central to this younger expression of the brand,” the fashion label shared in a press release.
I hope you saved your coins, because the collection features colorful tote bags ($375) and purses ($425) as well as denim sneakers ($275), medallion earrings ($85) and more.
This is not the first time the 24-year-old has struck a pose for a fashion house. She has modeled for Juicy Couture’s underwear campaign, served as a muse for her mother’s longtime friend and fashion collaborator Jean Paul Gaultier, and sashayed like a panther on the runway for Gypsy Sport in 2018.
I’m sure cynics are looking at this as nothing more than nepotism, but like so many celebrity children, do you expect her to get a job at Starbucks?
This is the new normal, and since Lola is also an artist, she should use her talents as she sees fit.
