Nicole Scherzinger Struggles to Respond to Former Pussycat Dolls' Criticism for Not Being Included in the Reunion

The Pussycat Dolls may be getting the band back together, but in case you haven't noticed there are some absences in the dollhouse.

Nicole Scherzinger was briefly at a loss for words when confronted with past members of the Pussycat Dolls’ complaints about not being included in the girl group’s reunion tour.
Scherzinger, along with original members Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts, announced earlier this month that they were returning as a trio for a tour throughout America, Europe and the United Kingdom.
On Friday, March 20, the trio appeared on the 3rd Hour of Today to discuss the comeback when they were asked about several members of the original group who had publicly spoken out about not being asked to return.
Scherzinger, 47, looked visibly uncomfortable saying, “Well, I mean, listen we are so, as women today…” before going quiet.
Wyatt, 44, chimed in, “I mean, it has been an ever-changing lineup and this is what it looks like now in 2026 and you never know what comes next. And I think ultimately we’ve gotta protect our peace and when something like The Pussycat Dolls has history, we have ruptured in the past and right now we are repairing and we’re sort of on the same page with that.”
Scherzinger then added her own thoughts, saying, “But what I wanted to say is, we have so much love and respect for all of the women that have been elite Pussy legacy and once a Doll, always a Doll.”
Original Pussycat Dolls member Carmit Bachar previously spoke out about not being included in the reunion, saying she was never contacted.
“I was not contacted regarding the group’s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public,” the singer, 51, said in a statement on Instagram, adding that given her role in the group’s early foundation and the connections that led to its record deal, “I would have appreciated direct communication.”
Similarly, original member Jessica Sutta also gave her candid response online, explaining, “I was never planning to return under the current circumstances, and unfortunately I’m still unable to dance due to ongoing health issues. Because of that, the recent news was difficult for me.”
Sutta, 43, added, “I did try to reach out privately for several months. I didn’t receive a response until the night before the announcement, which meant I didn’t have much time to prepare for the reaction that followed online…. I simply would have appreciated a heads-up earlier so I could process everything privately and handle the situation with a bit more grace and dignity. That said, I genuinely wish the girls a successful tour and nothing but the best moving forward.”
Original member Melody Thornton, 41, was also not included in the reunion, but has not publicly commented on her absence.
As to where past members should point their fingers, Scherzinger admitted in a recent interview that she was the one who first approached Wyatt and Roberts with the reunion plans.
“I'm the one to blame!” Scherzinger shared on SiriusXM on Thursday, March 19. “I really felt so blessed to be able to live out one of my dreams on the West End and Broadway and this is another one of my dreams.”
