After testing the musical waters by releasing an EP over the summer with Gabriel Glenn, Paris Jackson is finally ready to go it alone. The model/singer and daughter of King of Pop Michael Jackson is set to release her debut album Wilted, which drops on November 13 via Republic.
“I feel so many emotions,” the 22-year-old music newcomer reveals in the press release. “I’m excited, I’m nervous, mostly grateful and happy.”
Paris then goes on to expresses gratitude for Republic Records’ hands-off approach.
“The freedom to create, not being told what to sing and how to sing it, what to write; it’s awesome. It’s a gift, it’s a blessing.”
I have to say after listening to Let Down and watching the video, I’m very impressed by her singing and songwriting abilities. Some very deep stuff she’s talking about in the lyrics. I believe every word a d emotion that’s coming from her, because Paris and her siblings have been through so much.
Definitely looking forward to listening to her solo debut when it drops this month.
